Content
Biography
From a peasant family. He graduated from elementary school in Kabanovo, 3rd secondary school of the Smolninsky district of Leningrad .
Since 1937 he served in the Red Army . Since 1937 he studied at the Military Medical Academy named after S. M. Kirov . At the academy he was one of the best on the course, all the years of study he was a Stalin scholarship holder.
In connection with the outbreak of World War II in September 1941, he was accelerated from the academy and sent to the front. Since September 1941, he was the senior doctor of the 1062th Infantry Regiment of the 281st Infantry Division of the 8th Army of the Leningrad Front , since November 1941, he was the commander of the medical company of the medical battalion and the commander of the medical battalion of the 310th Infantry Division of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts. Since November 1943 - division physician of the 225th Infantry Division in the 59th , 54th , 21st armies on the Leningrad , Volkhov , 3rd Baltic , 1st Ukrainian fronts. During the years of the war he participated in the battle for Leningrad, in the Leningrad-Novgorod , Pskov-Ostrov , Tartu , Baltic , Wisla-Oder , Upper Silesian and Prague offensive operations. For almost 4 years he was inseparably at the front, gained vast experience in providing medical assistance to the wounded at all stages of their rescue and in organizing their evacuation from the battlefield. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942.
At the end of August 1945, he was again sent to the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy, where in 1946 he graduated from the faculty of training of the Academy’s doctors with honors and a gold medal, and in 1948 he completed training at the command and medical faculty. Since 1949 - lecturer at the military department of the Leningrad Pediatric Medical Institute . Since 1949 he served at the S. Kirov Military Medical Academy: junior teacher, since 1961 - head of the department of organization and tactics of medical service, since August 1968 - head of the Military Medical Academy. Over the 20 years of his leadership, the Academy has been actively developing both in scientific activity and in training students and in developing the material base, its authority in the international scientific world was very high.
In January 1988, he was transferred to the reserve, but until the last days of his life he worked at the academy.
He was buried in St. Petersburg at the Bolsheokhtinsky cemetery .
Scientific activity
Author, co-author and executive editor of about 260 scientific works, monographs, information collections, manuals, manuals, textbooks and teaching aids.
Academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1984), corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1978), member of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. Chairman of the Coordinating Problem Scientific and Technical Council, member of the Scientific Council under the USSR Academy of Sciences in Leningrad. Member of two interagency science and technology councils. Representative of the Armed Forces of the USSR in the International Committee of Military Medicine and Pharmacy . Member of the Presidium of the Scientific Medical Council of the Central Military Medical Administration of the USSR Ministry of Defense .
Honorary Doctor of the Military Medical Academy of the GDR , Bulgaria and Poland .
