Geography
Distance from the district center, the city of Urzhum , 15 km; the village is located near the Kirov-Kazan highway.
History
Until 2012, it was the administrative center of the Shevninsky rural settlement .
The law of the Kirov region dated April 28, 2012 No. 141-ЗО [2] , Andreevsky rural settlement , Bogdanovsky rural settlement , Petryaevsky rural settlement , Rozhdestvensky rural settlement , Russian-Timkinskoye rural settlement , Tsepochkinskoye rural settlement and Shevninsky rural settlement are united in the Urzhum rural settlement with the administrative center in the village of Bogdanovo.

Economics
In the village is a collective farm named. The Comintern, whose main activity is the production of grain, milk and meat.
