The district covers an area of ββ775 kmΒ² and belongs to the Berat region. The administrative center is the city of Chorovod .
Scrapari is the historical name of the region, known throughout Albania for its crayfish and folk music.
Content
Geographical position
Scrapari District is located in the mountains of Southern Albania. The district includes the Osumi River Valley. South of Chorovody, Osumi flows through a deep canyon almost 15 km long, which is a famous tourist attraction. In the north-west of the district rises the highest mountain in the region - Tomor (2 415 m).
With the exception of the Osumi River Valley, most of the villages in the county are in remote mountainous areas.
Administrative Division
There are two cities on the territory of the okrug: Chorovoda , Polichani and 8 communities: Bogova , Chepani , Herbesi , Leshni , Potomi , QendΓ«r, Vendresha , Dzhepa .
