History
In 1934 - 1937 , the district was part of the North Don Region as part of the Azov-Black Sea Territory .
September 13, 1937 Glubokinsky district (with the center in the village of Glubokaya ) became part of the Rostov region .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 6, 1954 , the Kamensk Region (with its center in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky ) was allocated from the Rostov Region. The territory of the Glubokinsky district became part of the Kamensk region.
In accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of November 19, 1957 , the Kamensk Region is abolished. Glubokinsky district is back part of the Rostov region.
In 1963 , the Glubokinsky district was abolished. Its territory entered the Kamensky district of the Rostov region .
