Vishvesha Tirtha Swami (birth name is Venkataramana Bhat ; born June 24, 1931 , Udupi , British India ) is a Vaishnava religious figure, [1] the head of the Pajawara Math in Udupi [1] - one of the Ashta Maths founded by the Vaisnava Acharya Mad in the 13th century . Vishvesa Tirtha is the 32nd in the chain of spiritual teachers of the Pejavara Math, which begins with Adhokshaji Tirtha, one of the direct disciples of Madhva.

Venkataramana Bhat was born on June 24, 1931 in the city of Udupi , Karnataka , British India . In 1938 , at the age of 7, he accepted sannyasa (the way of life in renunciation) and with it the new name Vishvesha Tirtha Swami. It was initiated in the Madhva Sampradaya of Vidyamanya Tirtha from the Bandarkeri Math.
When the turn of the Pejavara Math came to rule the Krishna Temple in Udupi in 1953 , Visvesha Tirtha Swami organized the All-India Conference of Madhwa Followers. During the second period of the Math’s reign in 1969 , he carried out renovation work in the temple, and during his third reign in 1985, he built the new Krishna-dharma pavilion in Udupi.
Vishvesa Tirtha Swami is actively involved in charitable and social support organizations. [1] He initiated the creation of a number of educational and charitable institutions. [1] So, he founded the center “Akhila bharat madhva maha manda”, which provides support to a large number of students from the poor. Vishvesa Tirtha Swami also established a number of Maths in various holy places in India, where Hindu pilgrims are supported.
Vishvesa Tirtha Swami is one of the advisers to the Hindu nationalist party Vishva Hindu Parishad . [1] He is also one of the active participants in the movement advocating for the construction of a Hindu temple in Ayodhya and an active participant in the cow protection movement, which advocates a total ban on their killing in India.
In 1988, Vishvesha Tirtha Swami appointed Vishwaprasanna Tirtha as the head of the Pajavara Math.
