Construction History
Ordered under the 1898 program "for the needs of the Far East." They were one of the modifications of the destroyers of the Sokol type and were built taking into account their shortcomings. Destroyers were built collapsible as they were originally supposed to send to Port Arthur by rail. Because of the blockade of the fortress had to build workshops near Vladivostok , where the ships arrived after the end of the Russian-Japanese war .
Due to the low freeboard and lack of lateral carinae, they were distinguished by poor seaworthiness and were of little use for combat use in the Far East .
