The Syrymbet Manor ( Valikhanov Manor) is a family estate of the Valikhanovs - direct descendants of the Kazakh khan Abylay . It was located on the territory of the modern village Syrymbet of Aiyrtau district of North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan .
History
The estate was built for the widow of Wali-Khan Aiganym (grandmother Chokan Valikhanov ) by decree of Emperor Alexander I of April 30, 1824 and by order of the Governor-General of Western Siberia Peter Kaptsevich [1] .
Childhood and youth of Chokan Valikhanov were spent in the manor, he came here for holidays from the Omsk Cadet Corps, lived in 1862 - 1864 . The manor played an important role in the dissemination of educational ideas and culture in the Kazakh steppe. Petrazhevets Sergei Durov (in the summer of 1856 ), who had an influence on the formation of the views of Chokan Valikhanov, Grigory Potanin (in the summer of 1895 ), came here. Aitys of singers and musicians were held here, famous composers Birzhan-sal Kozhagulov and Akhan-sere Koramsin , kobyzist Kurumbay Kangozhin, singer Koke Aldzhanov, poet Azhar performed [2] .
In 1982, the remains of the Syrymbet estate were included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of republican significance and are under state protection [3] .
Description
To date, the original manor has not been preserved - after the revolution, it collapsed due to disrepair and was dismantled [1] . In 1977, a Kazrestavration association carried out a topographical survey of a land plot, foundations of buildings were revealed, and data were collected about Syrymbet’s estate [2] .
A pencil drawing of Chokan Valikhanov, which depicts a manor: a residential building with three wings and a mosque , built in 1814 , a madrasa , a mill and other outbuildings built before 1835 [2] remained . According to the composition of buildings (excluding the mosque and madrasah ), planning (dividing the estate into residential and business areas), location (picturesque group of buildings near the reservoir and forest land), Syrymbet’s estate is a Russian noble estate of the 19th century [2] .
Alexander Gaines , who visited the estate in July 1865 , wrote [1] :
Two picturesque mountains covered with boron, close his manor; sweeping along the rocky ascent and descent, we saw several houses in the taste of our middle landowners, and in the middle - a mosque. In the middle of the house occupied by Shyngys with his wife, the furniture goes up to the landlord. In the hall is an organ playing up to twelve plays; mirrors in the piers, bronze candelabra with crystal pendants, the same sconces; small silk curtains on the doors, trimmed with a thin, but wide agramant . In the living room instead of Gardner or Kornilov vases are Chinese; a lamp on the table, a sofa, etc. All the floors are covered with Tashkent and Persian carpets; Tiger, leopard and bear skins are thrown over the furniture. The overall impression is nice. |
By 1985 (the 150th anniversary of Chokan Valikhanov) the estate was restored [1] . Consists of the so-called manor house with a living room, school, mosque, mill, house for servants, baths and outbuildings [1] .
