Biography
Born in a military family, mother was a housewife. In the 1930s, his father, Boris Sergeyevich Golubitsky, was repressed, and young Oleg lived through the difficult childhood of the son of an “enemy of the people."
In June 1941, he volunteered for the front, fought on the Western Front , but was wounded in November. After treatment, he was demobilized and went to the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , closer to his father, got a job as a draftsman at a mechanical plant, where he worked until 1944.
Then he entered VGIK , in the acting studio of Vasily Vanin . After graduating from VGIK, he joined the troupe of the Theater-Studio of the film actor .
He made his film debut in 1950. In the role of Igor Varentsov (“Test of Fidelity”, 1954) he created a psychologically accurate image of a demagogue and an opportunist. Known for the role of Arkady Averin from the movie "Goodnight!" (1956), later repeated the acting fate of his hero from this film - played episodic roles in various films (poor health, heart problems also affected). His captain Wolin was remembered in the television movie “Adjutant of His Excellency”.
The actor was buried with his father at the Vvedensky (German) cemetery (3 sch.).
