Biography
He was born on May 23 (June 5), 1907, in the village of Novozdukotskoye [1] in a working class family. Russian Member of the CPSU (b) since 1931. In the Red Army since 1929, in the Navy since 1934. In 1938 he graduated from the Naval Aviation School. Stalin . Since 1938 - the navigator of the MBR-2 flying boat of the 82nd separate naval reconnaissance aviation squadron (OMRAE) of the Black Sea Fleet , based on Donuzlav [2] .
June 22, 1941 - navigator of the 82nd OMRAE detachment, lieutenant . From the beginning of the war until August 20, 1941 he made 18 sorties for reconnaissance and 4 sorties for the bombing of the Romanian port of Sulin . From August 20 to December 2, 1941 made 52 sorties, of which 43 at night. During the defense of Odessa, it bombarded the Romanian units in Belyaevka , Lighthouses , Vygoda , Freindenthal, as well as the crossing of German troops across the Dnieper. During the defense of Crimea, it bombed parts of the avenue in the settlements of Kart-Kazak , Novo-Aleksandrovka , Ishun , and Grigoryevka . As the German troops approached, the squadron was transferred to Gelendzhik , from where it bombed the airfields of Marfovka and Kerch-2 . [3]
After retraining, the DB-3 bomber was assigned as the navigator of the 3rd squadron link of the 5th Guards mine torpedo aviation regiment of the Black Sea Fleet. [4] He flew in the crew of the captain Salikov’s guard. On August 17, 1942, the squadron, operating from the Gelendzhik airfield, bombed enemy columns advancing from Krasnodar to Novorossiysk . Together with the support of the ground forces during the defense of Novorossiysk, Fyodor Nikolaevich took part in a raid on the port of Yalta on September 9, 1942 as part of 8 Il-4 and 6 Il-2 of the 18th assault air regiment, during which the Italian TKA MAS571 and MAS573 and were sunk TKA MAS569, 572 and 576, as well as FD5A and F134A BDB are damaged. [5] On September 10, 1942, in connection with the approach of the front, the 5th gas and military transport unit was relocated to the Gudauta airfield. By September 24, 1942, only 5 serviceable aircraft remained in the 5th State Motor Vehicle Inspection and the long-range aerial reconnaissance over the Black Sea became the main task to be solved [6] . On October 3, the crew of Captain Salikov flew on a “solo cruise” to the southern coast of Crimea. In the Sudak area, 4 German minesweepers R33, R35, R36 and R163 were discovered. The torpedo attack ended in a miss [7] . Also in October, flew to minefields in the region of Feodosia and the Kerch Strait [8] . On December 19, he was wounded in the leg by a fragment of an anti-aircraft gun shell. [9]
At the beginning of 1943 he participated in day raids on Taman [10] . On March 14-15, the regiment was relocated back to Gelendzhik. On March 26, Salikov’s crew was in the lead of 4 IL-4 torpedo bombers in an attack by an enemy convoy (Prodromos tanker and 4 airborne infantry fighting vehicles: F122, F125, F144 and F340) in the Donuzlav area. All 4 torpedoes passed by [11] . On March 30, the 5th GMTAP with all combat-ready aircraft (18 IL-4) struck the Sevastopol base. The floating ship "Evdokia" was sunk, the Romanian auxiliary minzag "Romania" was damaged by fragments. Losses of the enemy in personnel amounted to five killed and 22 wounded Germans, about 40 killed and 70 wounded Romanians, as well as nine Khivis [12] . In May, he distilled a new plane from Irkutsk [13] . In total, until August 5, 1943, on an IL-4 plane, it made 181 sorties, including 65 at night, of which 11 were sorted by mining. He was involved in the supply of Crimean partisans [9] . On August 21, 1943 he was appointed flag navigator of the 1st Squadron of the 5th MTAP [14] . He participated in supporting the landing in Tsemess Bay on September 10, 1943. On September 22, Salikov’s crew dropped a high-altitude torpedo onto the enemy convoy (former Greek tanker Prodromos, the Romanian minzag Amiral Murgescu, the German minesweeper R165 and the Croatian small hunters Uj2301, Uj2302 and Uj2304) in the region of the Romanian port of Sulin. The attack, as well as the attack of the three "low" torpedo bombers was unsuccessful [15] . September 26 took part in a major raid on Sevastopol by the entire 1st mine and torpedo air division, but the results of the attack were very insignificant [16] . From August 5 to October 15, he made 25 sorties, including 5 on a mine setting [17] .
In April 1944, he began flying in the crew of the Captain Chuprov Guard, the new commander of the 1st Squadron. By that time, the squadron was relocated to Sokologornoye [18] . April 24 was the leader of 6 IL-4 in a bomb attack on a German convoy. All 6 bombers attacked the Archduke Karl, but he was not injured [19] . On May 10, 1944 at 09:24, approximately 60 km southwest of Sevastopol, 3 high-altitude torpedo bombers were leading in the attack on an enemy convoy (the Teia motor ship, minesweepers R35 and R164). All 3 torpedoes passed by. At 14:45, 5 bombers were leading in the attack on the convoy of Tanne barges (the enemy did not suffer losses). And at 19:38, at the head of three Il-4s, he also bombed another enemy convoy, Profet, to no avail. On May 11, at 08:50, he was the leader of the five IL-4s that bombed the Ovidiu convoy (Romania auxiliary minzag and Uj110 large hunter) at Cape Chersonese, probably one of the Siebel ferries was sunk. At 14:10, about 90 km south-west of Sevastopol, the Tissa transport was bombed by the same force, but due to the opposition of the enemy fighters, they did not get hit. Departures to bomb the enemy convoy were also on May 12 and 13. On May 23, the regiment was relocated to the “pre-war” airfield of Sarabuz [20] . In total, from October 15, 1943 to June 14, 1944, he completed 8 bombing missions and 10 mine-laying missions [21] .
On the night of August 20-21, 1944, during an attack on the naval base of Constanta ( Romania ), 11 Il-4 bombers were attacked by a pair of night fighter Bf.110G-4 from 8 / NJG6 (8th detachment of the 6th night squadron Luftwaffe fighters) [22] . Aircraft Aglotkova was shot down. The entire crew died: the commander of the 1st squadron of the guard, Captain Chuprov, the navigator of the 1st squadron of the guard, Captain Aglotkov, the chief of communications of the 1st squadron of the guard, senior lieutenant Vorobyov, the air gunner of the guard, sergeant Dovbnya.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 5, 1944, for the exemplary fulfillment of command assignments and the courage and heroism shown at the same time, guards Captain Aglotkov Fyodor Nikolaevich was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
