Biography
Born on January 4, 1910 in Bakhmach (now Chernihiv region , Ukraine ). From 1924 he lived in Odessa , where he first graduated from the construction trade school, and from 1928 to 1932 he studied at the architectural department of the Odessa Institute of Fine Arts (from 1930 - the Institute of Civil and Municipal Engineering). His teachers were M. V. Zametek and O. D. Zeiliger.
In October 1934 he moved to Minsk .
In 1953-1956 he headed the Master Plan Workshop at the Minskproject Institute , at the same time in 1954-1976 taught at the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. In 1968, N. Ye. Trakhtenberg was awarded the State Prize of the BSSR for the architecture of the central highway of Minsk (Lenin project).
