History

The formation of the village was connected with the government decree of December 30, 1846 “On the settlement of roads in Kalmyk lands, in the Astrakhan province”, which envisaged the establishment of 44 villages in 6 directions and the settlement of 50 Kalmyk families and state peasants in each of them with 30 tithes showering ratio of the earth. On July 19, 1847, a place was chosen for the village of Kormovaya, where Kalmyk cabs were already standing, as well as equestrian and camel detachments of the regular tsarist army, leading the procurement of feed for the needs of the Caucasian Army and at the same time protecting the tract from raids by nomads [3] .

Until 1875, the village of Kormovoye was part of the Astrakhan district of the Astrakhan province , and since 1875 it was part of the Cross volost of the Chernoyarsk district of the Astrakhan province [3] . In the 70-80 years of the XIX century, the village of Kormovoy received intensive development [4] . According to the census of 1897 in Kormovoy, which was also listed in the census as Kitsen-Buluk and Iki-Izimbuluk lived 2330 inhabitants: 1189 men and 1141 women [5]

At the beginning of the 20th century , there was a church parish in the village of Kormovoye, a rural 3-class school, and fairs were regularly held well-known far beyond the region [4] . According to the information contained in the Memorial Book of the Astrakhan province for 1914, the village of Kormovoye was the center of the Kormovsky volost, belonged to the Chernoyarsk district of the Astrakhan province, there were 533 yards in the village, 2093 male and 2049 female souls lived [6]

According to the 1926 All-Union Census, 2749 residents lived in the village of Kormovoy, of which 2644 were Ukrainians [7] . In the 20s of the XX century there was a massive relocation of the population of the village to the Kuban , which led to a noticeable reduction in the village [4] .

In December 1929, in the village of Kormovoye, the collective farm Red Cattle Breeder was created. In 1932, the "Friendly Cattle Breeder" artel was joined to the collective farm, uniting the peasants of the Gorky and Sweet farms. By the beginning of the war, the collective farm had become a strong economy: there were tractors, other agricultural machinery, a herd of horses about 200 animals, up to 1000 cattle, 12 thousand sheep [3] .

During the war years , 419 people went to the front, only 168 fodders returned alive [3] .

In 1950, the collective farm was renamed in the name of Beria, and in 1953 - in the collective farm to them. Kalinin. In the 1950s, the village was electrified. In the early 60s, the village of Kormovoye was connected to the unified state power supply system [3] .

In 1958, to them. Kalinina was annexed to the Pervomaisky collective farm; 2 brigades were created on the basis of the Kormovoye village. In 1968, with a manor in the village of Kormovoye, the Kalinin collective farm was re-formed [3] .

In 1975, the Kormovsky Village Council of People's Deputies was created. In the years 70-80, the village began to revive: the intensive construction of housing, social facilities, roads and sidewalks began. In 1976, a new school building was built. In 1984, the Palace of Culture was commissioned [3] .

In 1994, the farm to them. Kalinina was reorganized into Kormovoye LLP, and since 2004 into the Kormovoye collective farm [3] .

Physico-geographical characteristics

The village is located in the south of the Remotno region , within the Salsko-Manych ridge , which is the western sub-latitudinal continuation of the Ergeninsky Upland. The average height above sea level is 94 m [1] . The terrain is flat. The area has a general slope from north to south [8] .

By road, the distance to the administrative center of the Rostov region of the city ​​of Rostov-on-Don is 430 km, to the nearest city of Elista (Republic of Kalmykia) - 86 km (via Priyutnoe ), to the district center of the village of Repair - 43 km. The nearest settlement, Sadovoye Farm, is located 3 km north of Kormovoy [9] . There is an asphalt road to the village from the regional highway Zimovniki - Remontnoye - Elista (35 km).

According to the Köppen-Geiger classification of climates, the village is located in a humid continental climate with hot summers and moderately cold winters (Dfa index). The average annual temperature is 9.5 ° C, the rainfall is 365 mm [1]
