Only one athlete represented the country at the Games - Gabriel Ottekhindre . In the slalom competitions as part of the alpine skiing program, the Uruguayan took a rather high 24th place. Ottekhindre managed to beat over 40 competitors. It was the first and, at the moment, the last, performance of the Uruguayan athlete at the Winter Olympics.
