The Academic Men's Choir of the Russian Cultural Center of the City of Chelyabinsk (formerly the Male Choir of the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of Folk Art ) is a choral group, laureate of all-Russian and international festivals and competitions. The leader of the choir and conductor is the Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR Vladimir Alexandrovich Sheremetyev .

Content
History
The team was formed in the first half of the 1980s from the dads of children singing in the vocal and choral studios " Dream " (formed in 1972 ) and " Druzhina " (formed in 1979 ) and by 1987 , after expanding the composition, including due to growing up boys "Friends", became a full-fledged male choir [1] [2] [3] [4] . The male choir was located in the building of the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers, but in 1998 the choir ceased its activity, and in 2004 it revived in the Children's Art School No. 1, from where it soon moved to the building of the Center for Contemporary Arts in the city center. After 2010 [ when? ] became the choir of the Russian Cultural Center , rehearsals were still held in the building of the Center for Contemporary Arts. Since 2014, the old building, which is in disrepair, was closed, and in 2016 it was demolished [5] , the Center for Contemporary Arts moved to Traktorozavodsky District [6] - rehearsals of the choir are held there.
