Hartmann von Heldrungen ( German: Hartmann von Heldrungen died on August 19, 1282 ) is the eleventh great master of the Teutonic Order ( 1273 - 1282 ) [1] .

Biography
Hartmann was an imperial knight and joined with his brother, Hermann von Heldrungen and later became Grand Master Konrad Thuringian, tentatively between 1234 and 1237 . In 1238, Hartmann became a Komtour of the Balley of Saxony . In 1237, he took part in celebrations on the occasion of the unification of the Teutonic and Livonian orders. He enjoyed the confidence of the Grand Master and quickly rose in the hierarchy of the Order. From 1261 to 1263 (according to other sources - until 1266) he was in the position of the Great Comtur of the Teutonic Order [2] . In the summer of 1273 he was elected Grand Master of the Teutonic Order. During the reign he joined some territories in the Empire and Pomerania .
