Hamid Arzulu

Tupv Rustik (Hamid Arzulu) is an Azerbaijani writer living and working in the city of Nakhchivan , Azerbaijan . In his books “Call Me” and “Hanbaji and Her Guests”, he collected many of his poems and poems.

His poem “ Heydarnama ”, dedicated to Heydar Aliyev , won first place in the contest held by the newspaper “Shyarg Kapysy”. Hamid Arzulu for many years selflessly translated from the original famous German classics such as Goethe , Heine , Lessing and other poets from the original. He translated the novel “ Traveling through the Harz ” by G. Heine , the lyric poems “ West-Eastern Sofa ” by Goethe , the pearl of the German dramatic drama in the prose “ Nathan the Wise ” by Lessing , “Ballads” by Schiller Friedrich , the drama “ Emilia Galotti ” and Lessing’s comedy Minna von Barnhelm , Brecht’s drama The Chalk Cross , and Stefan Zweig ’s Novels.

Hamid Arzulu is one of the first Azerbaijani scholars conducting research work in the field of literary translation from German. In 1988 he defended his thesis on "Poetic forms and principles of the characteristics of characteristic species during literary translation from German into Azerbaijani." In 2010 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Theoretical and practical principles of the translation of German classical poetry into the Azerbaijani language”. The author of more than 30 monographs.
