Biography
Budik may have come from the early medieval rulers of Brittany. He could be the son of Budik Berhuk, a descendant of Gradlon, the brother of the king of Brittany, [1] .
In the middle of the 10th century, Count Budik with his sons brought donations to Landevennek Abbey . In an undated source of the same time, Budik is mentioned already dead. Most likely, he died between 945 and 952 years, after which his eldest son, Benedict, became Count Cornaya. Budik was the first known representative of the Kornuay house .
The name of his wife Budik unknown. Their children were:
- Benedict (died 1026) - Earl Cornuja from 945 or 952 years, Bishop of Kemper in 1003-1022
- Alfred
