Biography

Jacques Andre Francois Joseph Barbe was born December 30, 1923 , in the suburbs of Paris - the town of Montrouge (department of Hautes-de-Seine ). After receiving secondary education, in the early forties, the young man comes to the theater troupe of ( fr. Jean Dasté ), where under the name Jacques Dinam, he plays for more than three years. In parallel, he also starred in several films. In 1945 , Yves Allegre finally selects him for the first significant role in his life in the film “ ”, where Simone Signoret becomes his partner on the set.

Subsequently, Jacques Dinam plays various roles. He alternates with ease comic and dramatic roles, playing with such stars of the era, including: Pierre Frenet in Barry (1948), Pierre Blanchard in Doctor Lenneck (1948), Maurice Chevalier in My Apple (1950), Fernandel in Mademoiselle Nitouche (1953), and Michel Simon in Unbearable Mr. Chatterbox (1955).

A true friend of director Andre Yunebel , Dinam has played in a dozen of his films. Their first collaboration began in 1948 in the film Millionaires for a Day , where he played with Gaby Morley . He played the role of Inspector Bertrand, the scapegoat of Louis de Funes - Commissioner Juve in three films about Fantômas in 1964 , 1965 and 1966 years .
