Group History
Shortly before the creation of the collective, its members already played in other groups, which were widely known among lovers of medieval music. Thus, Titus Jani simultaneously participated in two groups: Corvus Corax and Potentia Animi, then called Congregatio. Subsequently, the work of Corvus Corax had a strong influence on the style of the music of the band.
In 2006, Potentia Animi made several covers for famous Christmas songs for its fans, changing their meaning in their usual direction.
In October 2008, the group made an official statement about its breakup. Their farewell concert took place on April 30, 2009 in Wasserburg Roeblau, a place near the Wasserburg fortress [1] .
Style
It is important to note that the style features of the genre of the collective were greatly influenced by the fact that all its members had previously played in groups of a similar direction. In addition, they often wear masks. Their music combines elements of medieval music and rock . Elements of electronic music are also found in their songs. So in the song “Qui per Mundum” from the album Psalm II combines medieval chants and electronic music .
