Roger the Engineer (original British name: Yardbirds ) is an album of the British blues-rock band The Yardbirds , released in July 1966 by Columbia labels in the UK and Epic Records in the USA. Officially, the album was simply called Yardbirds in the UK and Over Under Sideways Down (besides the title, the British and American editions were slightly different in composition and had different covers). However, over time, first unofficially, and then almost officially, the album was called Roger the Engineer , due to the animated image of the studio technician Roger Cameron on the cover, performed by band member Chris Dray [3] [4] .

| R s | Position # 349 in the list The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine |
Roger the Engineer is the band’s only disc to be released for the first time. The album feels the influence of Jeff Beck's experiments with guitar distortion , which is why the album is sometimes considered heavy metal .
In 2003, the album took 349th place on the list of the greatest albums of all time from Rolling Stone magazine.
