Biography

Born in 1946 . From 1964 to 1970 he studied at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute ( MEPhI ). Until 1972, he worked at the Research Institute of Optical Measurements, in 1980 he graduated from the USSR Academy of Foreign Trade, and worked at the USSR Ministry of Science and Technology. In the period from 1980 to 1983 and from 1983 to 1989 , he worked in the UN unit in Vienna , specialized in international scientific and technical cooperation. Since 1998, he departed from his main job and focused on literary work. Prose began to write in 1982 . Member of the Union of Writers of Russia since 1998 . [one]

  • Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI) - 1964-1970, engineer-physicist.
  • Moscow Institute of Intellectual Property, evening department, graduated in 1975. Qualification - patent specialist.
  • All-Union Academy of Foreign Trade, full-time department, Faculty of International Economics (cadres for the UN system), 1977-1980, international economist.

Some foreign literary critics compare the work of Dezhnev - with the work of Castaneda or Marquez [2] [3] . In 2003, the novel "Word Game" was included in the "long list" of applicants for the Booker Award [4] .
