"Guys-2" - a radar station (radar) of the meter range of the ship-based antenna post. It was intended for detecting surface and air targets and issuing target designation to universal and zenith caliber fire control systems on cruisers [1] .

Development
Development of the radar "Huys-2" was conducted under the leadership of A.I. Patrikeev. In 1948, together with the Rif radar, it passed state tests in the Black Sea Fleet (cruiser Molotov ) and was adopted by the Soviet Navy . The serial production of the station was carried out at the plant number 703 (modern plant " Salyut ") " [1] .
Description
The maximum range of the station is up to 20 km for surface and 80 km for aerial purposes. The radar power consumed is 90 kW . The “Guis-2” was supplied with the identification of “friend-foe” type . The radar was installed on Project 68 cruisers and other ships. [1] .
