Libya at the 1964 Summer Olympics

Libya took part in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo ( Japan ) for the first time in its history, but did not win a single medal. Libyans took part in the opening ceremony of the Games. Marathon runner Suliman Figi Hassan was supposed to take part in the athletics competitions, but he did not go to the start due to illness.
