Career

He began to play in 1961 in Uzhgorod in a youth team.

He played for the team:

  • "Motorist" Zhytomyr (1966-1969)
  • "Dawn" Voroshilovgrad (1970-1974, 1976)
  • “Lutsk” Lutsk (1975)
  • SKA Rostov-on-Don (1975).

In the major league of the championships of the USSR - 77 matches (65 - “Dawn”). During performances in Lugansk he was the second goalkeeper after Alexander Tkachenko . According to the characteristics of the “Dawn” coach Vladislav Glukharev, “he had excellent goalkeeper technique, the ball fixed very gently. By nature - phlegmatic, but reliable ” [2] .

July 6, 1972 he played for the USSR national team at the international tournament "Independence Cup" in Brazil against the Portuguese national team .

In 1977 he left to play for the GSVG national team, while playing in the lower leagues of the GDR for the Neustrelitz TSH until 1982.
