The Wenhu Line (until 2009, the Mujia Line) is the first line of the Taipei Metro . This is a light metro line served by bus trains . The Wenhu line connects the areas of Nangan, Neihu, Zhongshan, Songshan, Da'an, Xinyi and Wenshan. Songshan Airport is served by the metro station of the same name .

History
- March 28, 1996 - the first section of the line with a length of 10.5 kilometers was opened. There were 12 stations on the line: Taipei Zoo , Mujia , Wanfang Community , Wanfang Hospital , Xinhai , Lingguang , Liuzhanli , Keji Building , Daan , Zhongxiao-Fuxing , East Nanjing Street , and Zhongshan High School .
- December 24, 1999 - the transition to the Bannan line was opened at the Zhongxiao-Fuxing station.
- July 4, 2009 - the Neihu section was opened from Zhongshan Middle School Station to the Nangang Exhibition Center Station with a length of 14.7 kilometers. In total, 12 new stations were opened.
- October 8, 2009 - the line was renamed Wenhu.
Technical Details
Wenhu is a light metro line served by bus trains . Four-car trains of the Matra VAL 256 type and the Bombardier CITYFLO 650 are used on the line Each car can accommodate 105-107 passengers. The rolling stock is fully automatic; the movement of trains is controlled by a computerized center. The maximum speed of the train is 80 km / h. Train service takes place at the Mujj depot.
All stations on the line, with the exception of the underground stations “ Songshan Airport ” and “ Dacji, ” are flyovers . There are stations on the line with both island and side platforms. To protect passengers from falling on the way, all stations are equipped with partitions with sliding doors that open simultaneously with the doors of the incoming train. The average train stop time at the station is 20-30 seconds, and at the Zhongxiao-Fuxing interchange station - 45 seconds. The stations are equipped with escalators and elevators for the elderly and disabled.
