AKSM-843 (also BKM-843 ) is a low-floor three-section tram manufactured by the Belkommunmash Belarusian plant. Designed for operation on tram lines with a gauge of 1524 mm. A wagon with two motor and one supporting trolley and an electronic control system on IGBT modules with traction electric motors of alternating current is available in one and two-sided versions. The model was discontinued in connection with the launch of the updated 845th model.

Minsk
The first copy of the silver-colored AKSM-843 model entered the Minsk tram park in early 2009 . He was assigned a park number 157. On his first flight on route No. 5, he set off on June 25, 2009, and went through trial operation until September 2009.
In March 2010, the second instance of cherry-colored AKSM-843 tram arrived in Minsk tram park, received number 158. He left on the first flight on route No. 1 on April 21, 2010.
The third copy with tail number 163 entered the line on route No. 1 on May 25, 2011 , and the fourth (No. 164) on August 23 .
As of June 1, 2019, 5 wagons of model 843 are operating in Minsk (No. 157,158,163,164 and 165), 2 units are released per line on weekdays during peak hours, all wagons operate on route No. 6.
Kiev
At the end of 2011, one-sided wagon with serial number 3 arrived in Kiev for operation in the light rail system, joint production was planned with Bogdan, so the car was later named Bogdan TR843 and serial number 1. Since 2013, the car was idle due to problems with trolleys . [2] . October 9, 2015 the car went on the route number 3. October 10, 2015 he was presented at the tram parade and traveled with passengers to the Podolsk depot. And on October 11, 2015, he was transferred to the Darnitsky depot. From October 14 to November 26, 2015, the car worked intermittently on route No. 5k, which was specially launched for it, and then again stood idle due to the renewal of the problem with the trolley. Number 701 was assigned to the car at the Shevchenko depot. Soon the problems with the trolley were fixed, and on June 11, 2016 the car went on route No. 35. Since June 14, 2016, it has been operating according to this system: weekdays - route No. 28, issue No. 1, weekends - route No. 35, issue No. 4.
St. Petersburg
On December 17, 2012, the first wagon of the BKM 84300M model arrived in St. Petersburg in tram park No. 5, where it was assigned tail number 5211. On December 28, 2012, the second wagon of the BKM 843 model arrived in tram park No. 5, where it was assigned tail number No. 5212. On January 25, 2013, the third wagon of the BKM-843 model entered tram fleet No. 5, where it was assigned tail number 5213.
With these wagons, together with the delivery of similar Ust-Katavian KTM-31 wagons at the end of 2012, the PTMZ monopoly for supplying trams to the parks of St. Petersburg, which lasted for many decades, was [ significance of fact? ] undermined.
Kazan
In March 2012, a delegation of Kazan visited Belkommunmash OJSC in order to study operational characteristics and discuss possible acquisition options [3] . The need of the city for use on the line of the fast (accelerated) tram of the first stage was estimated at 20 cars [4] . In October, it became known about placing an order for such a large batch of AKSM-843 with delivery in early 2013 on the eve of the Universiade 2013 . The lessor was Sberbank Leasing CJSC, the transaction value amounted to 1.014 billion rubles [5] .
April 15, 2013 in the tram depot of Kazan received the first 2 cars of the planned 20 [6] . The first car went on a flight on May 7, 2013, the second was announced for May 15-17. [7]
Before the Universiade on July 6, 12 wagons were delivered, the rest - until August. Wagons began to be assigned numbers from 1300. The wagons have a dark ruby (burgundy-cherry) color.
As of April 25, 2014, all 20 cars arrived. [8] In 2017, at the request of Kazan, three three-section trams [9] of the AKSM-845 model were developed, based on the wishes of the Kazan MUE Metroelectrotrans, taking into account the experience with models 843 and 62103. The wagons with numbers 1400-1402 were put into operation with passengers January 25, 2018. On October 5, 2018, the BKM-84300M No. 1303 tram completely burned out in the depot, and on March 18, 2019, the BKM-84300M No. 1302 tram burned out on Yamasheva Avenue.
Delivery Plans for Other Cities
Moscow
The second copy of the AKSM-843 tram was supposed to be sent to Moscow in March 2010 for trial operation. The dispatch did not take place and the car is currently in Minsk [10] .
Daugavpils
It was planned to deliver 4 cars to the Latvian Daugavpils by the end of 2013, but deliveries were disrupted [11] .
