Biography
In 1932, he graduated from the American University of Beirut with a bachelor’s degree, and in 1943, with a scholarship from the British government, he received higher education in veterinary medicine at the University of Cambridge . He also studied political law and economics.
In 1934, he joined the education department (later the Ministry of Education) of Transjordan, and for six years he worked as a teacher in Karak, Salt and Amman. From 1940 to 1947 he was deputy head and head of the department of the department of veterinary medicine, then - economic adviser to the government. During the Second World War, he was the General Director for Procurement.
During the Palestinian War (1948) from 1948 to 1953. served as Minister of Defense.

While working as the Ambassador of Jordan to the United Kingdom in the early 1950s. He met the future King Hussein , who was then studying in London. In 1952-1953 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan. At the suggestion of King Hussein in 1953-1954 he headed the government of the country, at the same time he held the post of Minister of Defense. He was dismissed in 1954, as his liberal policies led to unrest in the country.
