The blue-striped leaf beetle , or the blue mint leaf beetle ( Latin Chrysolina coerulans ) is a species of the chrysomelina ( Chrysomelinae ) subfamily beetles from the leaf beetle family ( Chrysomelidae ). 8 subspecies are known [2] . The common beetle is widespread from central France to Central Asia , China and India [1] [2] .

Blue-striped leaf beetle is common in Central and Eastern Europe , the Caucasus , Asia Minor , the Middle East , Iran , Iraq , Afghanistan , Central Asia , the south of the Urals , western China, the north and south of India [2] [3] .
Subspecies C. c. angelica is common in Syria , Central Asia and Azerbaijan [4] .
The body length of the beetles is 6–9.5 mm [5] . The body is elongated. Pronotum without lateral notches. At the anterior margin of the pronotum there are clots of bristles. Epipleura in the posterior half from a side angle is not visible. Edeagus with a narrow, blunt apical denticle [2] . In the nominative subspecies, the back is completely blue or with longitudinal blue, green or golden-copper stripes (body length 7–8.5 mm) [2] .
Beetles are found on the shores of reservoirs , for example, rivers , streams, also found in moist meadows [6] , mountain and hilly regions; Oak and coniferous stands also inhabit [7] . Beetles are oligophagous ; the mint plant is mint [5] [2] (for example: aquatic mint, long-leaf mint [7] ), in addition to mint other plants can become fodder, for example, common tansy [6] .
Adult beetles ( adults ) are the prey of chicks of the species Paraphamartania syriaca [8] .
