On November 22, 1919, by order of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Turkestan Republic, all troops in the territory of the Seven Rivers were brought into the Semirechensk separate detachment, reorganized into the 3rd Turkestan Rifle Division and the cavalry brigade.

Fighting

Initially, the front included small Red Guard detachments, which, under the blows of superior enemy forces, left Sergiopol on July 21, 1918, the village of Urdzharskaya on August 8, and the city of Lepsinsk on August 29.

In early September 1918, Soviet troops defeated the enemy in battle at the Pokatilovskoye station and liberated Lepsinsk on September 7, and occupied the village of Abakumovskaya on September 23, where they went on the defensive. On November 8, 1918, by the decision of the 1st Semirechensk Regional Congress, the Military-Political Headquarters was formed, which was replaced on February 10, 1919 by the operational and political departments.

By the spring of 1919, the front line ran from the South-East to the North-West from the foothills of the Dzhungarsky Alatau between the village of Abakumovskaya, occupied by Soviet troops, and the village of Aksutayskaya, located at the White Guard troops, to the Balkhash steppes. The troops were located in settlements, sending outposts and patrols. Behind the rear of the whites from June 1918 was the Cherkasy defense region . In October 1918 - April 1919 White repeatedly but unsuccessfully tried to take control of the Cherkasy defense area, without the elimination of which they could not break into the city of Verny, the capital of the Semirechensk Cossack Army (SMKV) occupied by the Bolsheviks.

On June 6, 1919, by the decision of the 4th Front Congress, the Semiurechensky Front PBC was created consisting of a chairman (he is also a military-political commissar), commander and political commissar.

In July - August 1919, the troops of the Semirechensky Front tried to break through to help the Cherkasy defense region, the defenders of which fought hard battles with the whites, but were not successful due to lack of strength.

On August 29, 1919, by the decision of the PBC of the Turkestan Republic, instead of the PBC of the Semirechensky front, the PBC of the army of the Semirechensky region was formed, which on October 16, 1919 was renamed the PBC of the troops of the Lepsin direction, and the newly formed PBC of the Semirechensky region began to carry out general management.

On October 14, 1919, the White Guards captured Cherkasy District, and the troops of the Semirechensky Front, after an unsuccessful attempt to help the Cherkasy, retreated to the line of Ak-Ichke, Gavrilovka, Sarybulak, Voznesenskoye.
