In the year of the first consulate of Guy Sulpicia, a war broke out between the Siditsins and the Avrunks allied to Rome. Guy Sulpicius and his colleague Publius Eli Pet were sent to help the Avrunks. But due to sluggishness, help was late, so the Senate appointed a dictator [1] .

In 323 BC e., becoming consul for the second time, Guy Sulpicius was sent to fight with the Samnites. The Romans ravaged the lands of Samnia , but there were no open hostilities [2] .

In 314 BC e. consuls Guy Sulpicius and Mark Petelius Libon during the Second Samnite War took Sora and the cities of the Azzons [3] [4] . In the same year, they defeated the Samnites at Cavdia, after which they moved to Bovian, where they transferred troops to dictator Guy Petelius Libon Vizola [5] [6] . In 312 BC e. Guy Sulpicius was appointed dictator to prepare for the war with the Etruscans [7] .
