UNKLE

UNKLE (also spelled UNKLE ) is a British music project created by James Lavelle (owner of the Mo'Wax label) with the participation of DJ Shadow and, later, Richard File .

Biography

The debut album Psyence Fiction , the greatest contribution to which was made by the aforementioned DJ Shadow , was remembered by many thanks to two clips: “Be There” and especially “ Rabbit in Your Headlights ” - a homeless man repeatedly knocked down by cars in the tunnel ( Deni Laban ). The vocal part was performed by Tom York from Radiohead . In addition, Mike D , Jason Newstead , Richard Ashcroft , Ian Brown took part in the recording of the debut.

The second album was called Never, Never, Land . Robert “3D” Del Nye ( Massive Attack ), Ian Brown , Ozzy Osbourne , Josh Homme ( Queens of the Stone Age ) contributed to its creation.

In 2007, the third studio album UNKLE, called War Stories, was released .

After that, in 2008, one of the group’s songs, “Mayday,” hit the official soundtrack of the popular GTA IV computer game.

September 2, 2008 released the fourth album titled End Titles ... Stories for Film .

In May 2010, the next album “Where Did the Night Fall” was released. Worked on the album: Mark Lanegan , Joel Cadbury from South , The Black Angels, Sleepy Sun, Katrina Ford, ELLE J and Gavin Clark. The album is available in digital format on the UNKLE website.
