Biography
Shabnam Surayo was born on October 14, 1981 in the city of Kulyab , the eponymous region of the Tajik SSR of the Soviet Union . Her mother Surayo Kosimova, by whose name she chose an artistic pseudonym, and sister Farzonai Khurshed are also well-known Tajik performers. Shabnam first appeared on the scene in 2004, but fame came to her only in 2006, when one of her songs (“Az kudumi safar”) took the first line in the national hit parade of Tajikistan and was recognized as the best song of the year. This song also became a hit in Afghanistan and Uzbekistan , as well as in other countries.
After fame, in 2008 and 2009 she toured with concerts in Europe ( Berlin , Düsseldorf , London , Munich ) and North America ( Vancouver , Los Angeles , Montreal , New York , San Francisco , Toronto , Chicago ), where a huge number of immigrants and migrants from the Iranian world live. He regularly gives concerts in Tajikistan, in Russia and in other countries.
At the moment, it is popular in almost the entire Iranian world and beyond. Shabnami Surayo repeatedly performed in duets with other performers such as Parvina Shukrulloeva, Jonibek Murodov , Bahr Gafuri, Sukhrob Safarzod from Tajikistan, Javid Sharif and Najib Navabi from Afghanistan, as well as with the famous American singer of Iranian origin Leila Foruhar at her concert in 2006 year.
Shabnami Surayo is married to the Holy Zohir, they have a daughter named Sharifa. In addition to the native Tajik language , she speaks Farsi , Dari and Russian .
