Tradition
According to legend:
One of the sisters of St. Gwenole once hunted wild geese near the château of Leguin ( French Lesguen ). One of the geese tore her eye out of her head and swallowed. This incident saddened the mother and father. Saint Gvenole, being at a prayer in his monastery, was notified of this by a holy angel and went to his father. There he zealously undertook to catch the goose and, having caught, pressed on his stomach. Having thus pulled out his eye, he inserted it into place and dawned on the sign of the Cross. The eye became more beautiful than it was, and Saint Clergy returned sight.
