Biography
Belorussian, Orthodox. He came from peasants, was born in 1876 in the village of Streki, Zhitinsky volost, Kobrin district, Grodno province . Primary education. For 2 years he was teaching literacy at school. Engaged in farming. For political reasons, he was close to the Cadet party .
March 26, 1906 was elected to the State Duma of the I convocation from the Congress of authorized volosts of the Grodno province . He was a member of the Labor Group . He opposed the plan for granting autonomy to Poland proposed by the Polish Colo . He signed the bill “On Civil Equality” and a statement on the formation of local land committees. Speaking on the agrarian question in the Duma, he said: “We must renounce our sacred inviolability of property and we must say: the land belongs to the peasants working on it, and we must give access to the land as soon as possible in order to calm the fire that is already rising in our Russia ".
After the dissolution of the Duma, he returned to his homeland, but was beaten by fellow countrymen for “returning from the Duma without land” [1] .
The fate and date of death is unknown.
