Iceland at the 1968 Summer Olympics

Iceland took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City ( Mexico ), but did not win a single medal. The delegation consisted of 8 athletes (6 men and 2 women) who took part in 15 competitions of three sports. The youngest athlete of the national team is Ellen Ingvadóttir ( English Ellen Ingvadóttir ) at the age of 15 years, the oldest - Gudmundur Germansson ( Polish Guðmundur Hermannsson ) at the age of 43 years [1] .
