Bugatti designed his first car at the age of 17. For him, Ettore received a gold medal at an exhibition in Milan . The car was quite imperfect, but the young designer managed to interest Count Gunelli with his ideas. With his financial support, Ettore was building his second Bugatti car two years later, who also received a medal at an exhibition in Milan . This model has created him a reputation as a serious and promising designer. He began to collaborate with various companies, such as De Dietrich ( France ), Turk-Mary ( France ). During his life, Bugatti managed to work for most of the largest automotive companies in Europe. Passion for car racing beneficially influenced Bugatti's design idea: his first racing car, the Bugatti-10, appeared in 1909. Bugatti himself became a famous racer at the same time.
