Flight Description
The first expedition to visit the Salyut-7 orbital scientific complex is Soyuz T-5 . At that time, the first long-term crew was at Salyut-7 station: Anatoly Berezovoi and Valentin Lebedev .
Docking took place in completely manual mode due to a failure of the automatic docking system.
During the stay at the station at the same time five astronauts, many scientific experiments were carried out. These were biological experiments: “Bracelet” - studies of the human circulatory system , “Pose” - studies of the human muscular system , “Sonography” - studies of the human cardiovascular system using dopplerography , “Mars” and “Neptune” - studies of the human visual system , “Questionnaire” - studies of the human vestibular apparatus , “Microbial exchange” - sanitary- microbiological studies, “Bioblock-3” - study of the influence of cosmic rays on living organisms, “Cytos-2” - microbiological studies using thermostat technological experiments: “Calibration” - thermodynamic studies, “Diffusion” - the study of substance movements, “Liquidation” - the study of crystallization ; astrophysical experiments: “Pyramig” and PSN - photographing the Earth’s atmosphere and space objects [1] .
Jean-Loup Chretien is the first French astronaut.
