Geography
The city of Ziniari is located in the central part of Burkina Faso, 35 km northeast of the capital, Ouagadougou , at an altitude of 303 m above sea level [1] . Administratively, the commune is subdivided into 5 urban sectors and 48 villages. The current mayor is Joanny Cabre.
Population
According to data for 2013, the population of the city was 23,130 people [2] . The population of the urban commune according to the 2006 census is 68,026 people [3] . Ziniari is populated primarily by representatives of the Mosi people.
