Trumot

Trumot (in the old Russian-language sources of Terumot ; Hebrew תרומות "offerings") is the sixth of 11 treatises of the Zraim section ("Crops"), the first of the sections of the Mishnah . Consists of 11 chapters. Parses the laws of donations to aaronid priests : guma guma , usually ranging from 1/60 to 1/40 of the crop ( Num. 18:11 - 18:19 ), and the maather trumat ( Numbers 18:26 - 18:32 ) - one tenth tithes given to the Levites ( maaser rishon , Num. 18:21 ). This topic is also discussed in the treatises Dmai and Maasrot .

The contents of the chapters of the Mishnah:

  1. Hamisha (“Five”, 10 paragraphs) - five categories of persons exempted from the obligation to give truma , and cases where separation of the truma is valid despite the incorrect method of separation.
  2. Eich tomrin (“How to lift it,” 6 paragraphs) - other cases where the separation of the truma is counted even if the separation method is incorrect.
  3. Ha-toram (“Ascendant”, 9 paragraphs) - cases when the trum should be separated twice; separation of trums through an intermediary, details of the procedure for separation of various types of offerings; what to do with reservations during the separation of the truma and pronouncing the oath.
  4. Ga-mafrish (“Separating,” 13 paragraphs) - how to separate and measure both types of truma .
  5. Sea (“ ”, 9 paragraphs) - mixing other fruits with a ritually clean and unclean truma .
  6. Ha-ohel (“Eater”, 6 paragraphs) - the procedure for damages on the part of the one who ate or even benefited from the fruits intended for the truma (cf. Lev. 22:14 ).
  7. Ga-ohel (“Eater”, 7 paragraphs) - continued discussion of the previous chapter; cases when only the cost of the eaten up without an additional fine in the amount of the fifth share is reimbursed.
  8. Ga-ishsha (“Wife”, 12 paragraphs) - how long wine and other liquids intended for truma can remain unclogged without losing their status of being suitable for ascension.
  9. Ghazorea (“Sowering”, 7 paragraphs) - what to do if the grain intended for the trum was sown.
  10. Batsal (“Onion”, 12 paragraphs) - cases where products suitable for truma become unusable due to the acquisition of an odor.
  11. Eich notnim (“How to give,” 10 paragraphs) - how can you use products intended for trauma , both ritually pure and defiled.

The treatise includes 10 chapters of Toseft . To 26 paragraphs of the Mishnah Toseft is missing. In the Jerusalem Talmud, the treatise occupies 59 sheets. In the Babylonian Talmud is absent.
