Uruguay at the Olympics

Uruguay first participated in the Summer Olympics in 1924 in Paris and has since played at all Summer Olympics except the Games in Moscow in 1980 . At the Winter Olympics, Uruguayan athletes performed only once in 1998 in Nagano .

During the performance at the Olympic Games, Uruguayan athletes won 10 Olympic medals : 2 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze. All medals were won at the Summer Olympics.

The National Olympic Committee of Uruguay was formed in 1923 and adopted by the IOC the same year.
