Gemma Bellinchoni ( Italian: Gemma Bellincioni ; August 18, 1864 , Monza - April 23, 1950 , Naples ) - Italian opera singer ( soprano ), teacher and public figure [1] . Daughter of opera artists Cesare Bellinchoni and C. Soroldoni, wife of tenor Roberto Stagno .

Biography
She studied singing with her mother K. Soroldoni. First appeared on stage in 1880 ( Napole Theater "Nuovo"). Later she performed in the theaters "Argentina" in Rome , "La Scala" and "Liriko" in Milan . She toured a lot in Europe. In 1911 she completed her singing career and was primarily engaged in teaching, in particular, she founded schools of singing in Berlin in 1914 , Rome - in 1916, and Vienna - in 1930 .
She is buried in Livorno, in the Montenero cemetery.

In 1890 she sang the part of Santuzza at the world premiere of the opera “ Rural Honor ” by Mascagni on the same stage as her husband, who sang the part of Turiddu. The first performer of the title role in " Fedor " Giordano ( Enrico Caruso was a partner) and in Strauss Salome (on the Italian stage).
Bellinchoni's voice is still heard on some CDs (most of the Marston label) of the few recordings that were made for Gramophone & Typewriter.
