History
The first mention of the village dates back to 1409 in the investigation of the theft of a herd of pigs from the village of Chertage, in Eastern Slovakia . The accused Sholtis Vancha with a group of fellow villagers was supposed to attend the trial in Veliky Berezny . Perhaps the village was founded earlier. In the 1560s, the village has 17 families. In the tax lists of 1715 there are only 11 families.
