Interpretation of the opening: White seeks to undermine the center by f2 - f4, but the passive position of the knight on e2, which violates the harmonious development of White’s kingside, can be used by Black to play fully. Various sequels are possible:
2. ... Kg8-f6 , 2. ... Kb8-c6 or 2. ... Bf8-c5 and so on.
For example: 2. ... Kg8-f6 3. f2-f4 e5: f4 4. Ke2: f4 d7-d5 5. Nf4: d5 Nf6: d5 6. e4: d5 Qd8: d5 with equality.
