Biography
Polydor Plasden was born in London in 1563. He studied at Reims and Rome , where on December 7, 1586 he was ordained a priest. Two years later, in 1588, he returned to England, where in the conditions of persecution of Catholics under the reign of Elizabeth I began to engage in pastoral activities. On November 8, 1591, he was arrested for participating in the Holy Mass along with Sweatoon Wells and Edmund Jennings . On December 10, 1591, Polydor Plasden, together with a group of five priests and four laity, was executed through quartering .
Praise
Polydor Plasden was beatified in 1929 and 10/25/1970 canonized by Pope Paul VI together with a group of 40 English and Welsh martyrs .
