The Sr2 electric locomotive is a single-section four-axle cargo-passenger electric locomotive of alternating current (25 kV), Finnish railways ( VR ), created by SLM / ABB on the basis of the commercially available Re 460 (Lok 2000) Swiss rail locomotive.

Sr2 were launched to gradually replace aging Sr1 electric locomotives and today are Finland's most powerful locomotives.

In Finland, these locomotives were nicknamed Guinea pig ( Fin. Marsu ), Edelweiss ( Fin. Alppiruusu ) and Cuckoo Clock ( Fin. Käkikello ) because of their Swiss origin.
