History
Names of aul Chech. Kay came from the Chechen word ( Chech. kov ) - the gate. In the vicinity of Kay, a tract called the Nine Gates has been preserved. In the past, Keits had influence on neighboring peoples and on Chechen teips and wide connections with the nearest neighboring tribes, especially with Georgians, this could serve as the reason that Georgians of all Vainakhs are called cysts (from kei, cue) [1] .
Aul Keymehki was liquidated in 1944 during the period of deportation of Chechens. After the rehabilitation that took place in 1956 , the Chechen population was forbidden to settle in the area [2] .
