Biography

Born and lives in Yekaterinburg. In 1981 he graduated from a specialized English school No. 99. He entered the Department of Electrical Engineering at UEMIIT (now the Ural State University of Railway Engineering ). As a university student, he participated (and won) in mathematical, English and other olympiads. In parallel, he traveled to the seas with expeditions, studied the flora and fauna of the Black , Japanese , Baltic and other seas.

In 1986 , after graduating from the institute, he worked for several years at the VNIIZhT (laboratory of the KTS PS). An engineer adjusting diagnostic equipment traveled around the country, created checkpoints DISK-BKVTS.

Literary debut is a fantastic story “There is Contact!” (Newspaper “Nauka Urala” No. 25, 1988). The first book publication is the stories “Close Your Eyes” and “Atavism” in the science fiction collection “Search-89” ( Sverdlovsk , Central Ural Book Publishing House ).

Since 1990 he switched to “free bread”, published in newspapers and magazines, worked as a guard, a loader, was engaged in construction, reviewed stories in the editorial office of the Ural Pathfinder magazine , tuned musical instruments, studied sports massage, was the director of a photo studio, worked as a magazine editor .

In 1994 , the first collection of literary works (novels and short stories) was published. Nominated for the Start prize , reached the final (in 1995 the Aelita festival was not held, so the prize was not awarded). In 1992 he became a laureate of the “DEM” award (for the novel “The Animal Circle”), established by Julian Semenov (award for the best Russian detective). Subsequently, periodically published in Russian publishers. In the period from 1994 to 2010, he published about three dozen books. He worked in the organizing committee of the Aelita science fiction festival . Organized photo exhibitions, wrote radio scripts.

His main hobbies are literature, scuba diving, parachuting, hang gliders. In 2002 he was admitted to the Union of Russian Writers , in 2003 he was elected to the board of the Yekaterinburg branch of the Union.

2008 : for the book “To the Left of the Sun” he received the national children's literary award “Cherished Dream” , for the same book he received the prize named after V. P. Krapivin . In 2009 - the Alice Award at the Roscon Festival for the book Savior of Urakand. The book "Adolescents before the Flood" brought the writer two more prizes in 2010 - to them. P. Bazhova and Tuning Fork ( Yekaterinburg ).
