Geography
The village is located on the right bank of the river Terek , 35 km south-east of the district center Znamenskoye .
The nearest settlements: in the north - the village of Savelyevskaya , in the south - the village of Podedinskoe , in the northwest - the village of Meken-Yurt , Nadterechnoe and Verkhny Naur , in the south-west - the village of Mineralny and Zebir-Yurt , in the east - the village of Kalinovskaya , on southeast - the village of Ken-Yurt [4] .
History
In 1977, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the Konev farm was renamed into the village of Podgornoye [5]
