The Padyshatinsky State Reserve is a specially protected natural area of Kyrgyzstan , formed in 2003 , which is located on the Chatkal ridge in the Jalal-Abad region . It was organized by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated July 3, 2003 No. 405 in order to preserve the unique juniper forests, Fir Semenov , listed in the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic , and the biodiversity of the republic as a whole, as well as being guided by Article 8 of the Convention on Biological Diversity .

The reserve's area is 15,846 hectares, including 4,419.6 hectares of forested area, 1,298.6 hectares of forested land, 2158.8 hectares of pasture land, 1.1 hectares of estates, and 7,967.9 hectares of other land.
