Haji (large “ha”) is the fourth letter of the Burmese alphabet. It is pronounced as well as gange , but it is used when writing words that came from Pali , instead of the Indian letter denoting the sonorous aspiratory sound "Gha". In Sinhala, Pali corresponds to the letter mahaprana gayanna , in Thai Pali corresponds to the letter Khorakhang (ฆ). In the Burmese dictionary on the gaji, only a few words begin, borrowed from Pali .
