Liaohe (oil and gas field)

Liaohe is an oil and gas field in China . Located on a plain in the middle and lower reaches of the Liaohe River. Opened in 1980 . Initial oil reserves are 500 million tons.

Oil and gas content is associated with deposits of the Cretaceous and Jurassic ages.

The development of the field is currently underway by the Daqing Oilfield Company Limited, owned by CNPC , a Chinese oil company. Oil production in 2006 amounted to 12.05 million tons.
